Thousand Oaks Acorn, August 20, 2009 - On August 27, a new earth science magnet school, EARTHS, the Environmental Academy for Research Technology and Earth Sciences, in Conejo Valley Unified School District. Read the ties to service-learning here.

Staten Island Advance, August 20, 2009 - Wagner College was named one of the best academic programs to look for in service-learning in the 2010 edition of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report magazine. Read about it here.

Lipscomb University, August 20, 2009 - Lipscomb University, in Nashville, TN was named one of the “top up-and-coming” master’s universities in the South in the 2010 edition of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report magazine. They have a the SALT Program (Serving and Learning Together), which debuted in fall 2008, requiring all new students to fulfill designated service-learning requirements before graduation.
